Product Description
Small size traditional style Tibetan Buddhist Singing Bowl complete with wooden striker and cushion. The bowl measures 9cm in diameter.
Similar to a bell, Tibetan singing bowls are traditionally used as a signal to begin and end meditation. Today they are used for a multitude of reasons including: meditation, music, relaxation, personal well-being and religious practice as well as in some health care practices.
The sides and rim of the bowls resonate / vibrate creating a long lasting sound somewhat similar to a tuning fork, with different sized bowls producing different tones. To produce the sound, the bowl can either be struck with the striker or the striker can be rubbed around the rim to produce a resonant sound.
